A matched pair of spur gears cut in our own shop to replace the reduction pair on a Bliss #21 mechanical stamping press. 72 teeth and 24 teeth, 8 diametral pitch, 20-degree pressure angle, three-inch face — cut from certified 4140 pre-hard bar to AGMA Q10 tolerance.
The original Bliss factory pattern has been out of production since the E.W. Bliss consolidation in the late seventies. We reverse-engineered the geometry from a museum-condition original, verified against three service-worn examples, and now cut them on demand.
Bore and keyway are finish-machined to customer print. Lead time is stock if the profile matches; otherwise two to three weeks.
